Crafting Together

If you think you don't have time to come along, it may be just what you need.

craft work 2

The Craft group started up over two years ago to provide a space for people to work alongside each other on their own creative projects, sharing ideas and enjoying fellowship, refreshments and relaxation. It was aimed at anyone who enjoys creative hobbies but can seldom devote time to them in the normal hurly-burly of day-to-day life.

Over the years, the value of the group has become increasingly more apparent to us.

It is a chance to relax properly, away from other responsibilities, in an oasis of calm and creativity - to spend time together in the here and now away from the pressures and worries that normally weigh us down and to enjoy each other's company, whilst having the time to complete or continue projects we enjoy but all too often set aside.

Over the years, necklaces, scarves, jumpers, patchwork, embroidery, paintings and much more have been produced within the group but, more importantly, friendships have grown.

If you would like to complete a project you put aside through lack of time; if you have always wanted to learn to crochet, knit, make jewellry or cards or try something new; or if you would just enjoy stopping by for a drink, a cake and a chat then please come along to one of our sessions. Remember to bring along all the materials and equipment you will need for your craft project - we will provide the company and the refreshments.

We ask for a donation of up to £1 to cover our costs.

We usually meet twice a month , once on a midweek evening from 7.30 - 10.00pm and once on a Saturday from 2.30 - 5.00pm, either in the Worship Hall or the TNT Room. See below for dates and times.

The next crafting afternoons will be in the Worship Hall on Saturday April 24th and Saturday May 22nd. Details from Wendy Caton.
