For the Summer term there will be two groups - a 5 and under's group and Sunday activities for anyone aged 6 to 15
We are trying a new group this term for anyone from year 1 to year 10. It meets on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th Sundays of each month while the Morning Service is going on in the Worship Hall. The 4th Sunday of each month is an All Age Service and the children and young people are included in the Main Service. On the 1st Sunday of each month, the children and young people come back into the service for communion so they can rejoin their families and they sometimes bring some of their work with them so show to the wider congregation.
We start off in the Octagon at 10am where we do a variety of activities following Scripture Union material. There will be teaching time, craft time, sometimes cooking, refreshments and there is a "chill out" zone for just being able to think and pray.
There is a rota of leaders so the children see a variety of faces.
We are trying a new group this term for anyone who is Reception and younger. It meets in TNT room (Tots and Toddlers room at the end of the entrance hall) for part of the service on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th Sundays of each month while the Morning Service is going on in the Worship Hall. The 4th Sunday of each month is an All Age Service and the children are included in the Main Service. Children should be brought to the TNT room just before the service starts and then must be collected by their parents/grandparents/carers when the sermon ends to join the remainder of the service. In the TNT room there will be toys, colouring, a Bible activity with two adults to look after the children.
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs."
- Matthew 19 v 14
